Daily Schedule

A real day, real cadence.

Daily schedules vary by grade band. Below: sample K-1, 2-5, 6-8, and high-school schedules — the rhythms our families actually live by during the school year.

A Real Day

How a school day unfolds.

Every VCA Virtual day begins at 7:35 am with devotions and ends with independent learning time. Live class blocks anchor the morning. Afternoons are mostly family-paced.

The schedules below are samples for the Great Hearts Online Classical Live pathway. Flex Mode students follow a similar shape but on their own daily timing. WVS, Individualized, and On Fire pathways have different rhythms; your Academic Coach walks you through the specifics during onboarding.

What's Live, What's Flex

A typical Live week.

Live classes Monday through Thursday. Friday is fully asynchronous in the Great Hearts pathway. Daily devotions every weekday.

I

II

7:35 am Devotions

Daily devotions begin at 7:35 am with the cohort. Wednesday is full chapel together. Friday is prayer and character enrichment.

III

IV

Friday Asynchronous

Great Hearts Online Friday is fully asynchronous. Catch-up reading, deeper writing, family rhythms, and rest. Many families use it for co-ops and outdoor time.
