Cognia Accreditation

Victory Christian Academy is directly accredited by Cognia — the international accrediting body serving more than 36,000 institutions across 80 countries. A Cognia-accredited transcript is recognized by colleges and universities nationwide. The Great Hearts Online curriculum we deliver is also independently Cognia-accredited, meaning every Virtual classical student receives a Cognia credential from both the school and the curriculum partner.

Wisconsin DPI Compliance

VCA Virtual is approved to participate in Wisconsin’s Parental Choice Programs (MPCP, WPCP, RPCP, SNSP) under Department of Public Instruction oversight. Annual reporting, financial audits, and program compliance are reviewed by DPI.

State Academic Standards

Coursework meets or exceeds Wisconsin academic standards. The Great Hearts scope and sequence aligns with state standards and goes beyond them in classical subjects — Latin, logic, rhetoric, music theory, the history of ideas — that state standards do not address. Wisconsin Virtual School coursework is itself state-aligned by design.

The Great Hearts Curriculum Standard

The Great Hearts curriculum is itself a standard — developed over more than two decades, refined across nearly 50 brick-and-mortar schools, and taught continuously by classically trained faculty. VCA Virtual delivers this full curriculum through Great Hearts Online.

The Classical Trivium & Quadrivium

The Trivium (Grammar, Dialectic, Rhetoric) and the Quadrivium (Arithmetic, Geometry, Music, Astronomy) are the oldest sustained curriculum standard in Western education. VCA Virtual is built on this seven-art framework and teaches each part in the place and depth the tradition demands.

Wisconsin DPI State Report Card

Meets State Expectations.

Victory Christian Academy’s flagship Milwaukee campus earned a “Meets State Expectations” rating on the most recent Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction School Report Card — the same school, same board, same mission as VCA Virtual.

VCA Virtual will be eligible for its own DPI report card after its first full year of state-reporting data.
